My name is Chris Whitfield, and I am excited to be running for State Representative in District 52B, which includes Eagan, Mendota Heights and Mendota.  I’d like to acknowledge and thank Ruth Richardson for the accomplishments and progress she has made as the representative of 52B. I am eager to build off of her successes and provide a strong voice for my neighbors. As an older millennial, I have a perspective that is in line with what younger voters want to see from their representatives. 

I will fight to build a safer, more prosperous and healthier community that benefits everyone, by collaborating with all the people of Eagan, Mendota and Mendota Heights. I believe trust is earned, and I pledge to make myself indispensable to all the people of this great senate district, understanding first hand what are the issues that people want to see their representatives fighting for, and getting results.

We have all felt the frustration in the current political landscape. The feelings of being unheard, unsupported and unimportant to their representatives. I pledge to fight for every one of my constituents first, while providing transparency and accountability that has been missing at all levels of government.
